Large logs threaten walkway. These big old trees drifted near the island and then were heaved by stormy seas up and over an existing old walkway which is already buried under storm tossed rocks. A few of these benemouths lodged right against the underpinnings to the Wood Island boardwalk that provides access to the Lighthouse from the Boat House which sits at the opposite end of the island over 1/2 mile away. |
