Tom’s of Maine
Tom’s of Maine awarded us two grants in 2019. One for work on the lighthouse connector for the display of our historical and education displays. The second for purchasing equipment for educational programs

Judy Klement 2016 ALF Keeper of the Light
Judy was instrumental in bringing the interior restoration of the Keeper’s house to fruition by generously donating the funds needed for the restoration. Judy was honored in 2016 by the American Lighthouse Foundation and presented with the “Keeper of the Light” award.

IDEXX Many IDEXX employees have graciously donated their volunteer hours to help FOWIL with many landscaping, maintenance, and restoration projects on on the island. These have included assisting with repairs to the boardwalk, oil house, and boat house.

ALF website
The American Lighthouse Foundation is the parent organization of the Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse. It has provided continuing support to our efforts of restoration at Wood Island Light. Learn more about ALF, it’s mission, and the other ALF lighthouses on the website.

Home Depot
Home Depot of Biddeford has generously provided FOWIL with discounts on construction materials for used on the lighthouse restoration.

Between the Tides Gift Shop
Between the Tides Gift Shop is s a very special gift shop located at 1 Lester B. Orcutt Blvd. in Biddeford Pool. They are open during the summer months.

Saco Frame Center
Saco Frame Center has provided various special framing jobs gratis to FOWIL. They do beautiful frame work and are located at 10 Pepperell Square, Saco, Maine 04072.

Nimlock Nimlock has donated a beautiful oversized banner of the light tower. It will help us share our beautiful lighthouse at our community outreach events.

Jeremy’s website
Jeremy D’Entremont lighthouse historian has helped us research Wood Island Lighthouse history. He has a great website about Maine lighthouses.

New England Ghost Project (NEGP)
New England Ghost Project helped us with several popular fundraising “Haunting Event.”

Maine Memory Network (MMN)
The Maine Memory Network carries information about Wood Island Lighthouse on their educational web services.

Candace Clifford
Candace Clifford helped with our historical research in Washington D.C. She has written many books on lighthouses.

Maine Lighthouse Museum
The Maine Lighthouse Museum provided us with an opportunity to have a display up in the museum about Wood Island Light.
