Join FOWIL at the American Lighthouse Foundation Gala – April 28th

To All our Members and Friends,

The annual ALF Gala, honoring the Volunteers of the Year from each of the ALF Chapters will be held at the Nonantum Resort in Kennebunkport, Maine on the afternoon of April 28 from 1:00 pm to 5:00pm.  In addition to honoring our special volunteers Joseph Smith will give a living history portrayal of Augustin Fresnel, the 19th Century scientist who invented the Fresnel Lens which amplified and sent the beam from lighthouses around the world for well over a hundred years.  It should be a fascinating presentation regarding one of the world’s key lighthouse scientists.

Our honoree this year is Tish Johnson who raised funds for plantings around the lighthouse and led a group of our Woodchuck gardeners in landscaping and planting a profusion of beautiful shrubs, plants and flowers.  We are very pleased to recognize Tish at this annual event and hope we will have a good turnout.  We would love to have you join us.

Details for signing up for the Gala can be found at this link:

We hope we will see you there.
