Help preserve Wood Island Lighthouse by becoming a member of the Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse, or by making a donation. No matter where in the country you live, you are invited to be part of this effort to save a vital part of America’s Maritime History. Membership includes membership in the American Lighthouse Foundation, a subscription to the FOWIL email newsletter, and occasional discounts on FOWIL merchandise.

Make a Donation

To make a donation to the Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse, click on the “Make a Donation ” button below. Donations in any amount are welcomed and are tax deductible as allowed by law. The Friends of Wood Island Lighthouse is a chapter of the American Lighthouse Foundation, a non-profit 501(c)3 corporation.  

FOWIL welcomes memorial gifts and bequests in furtherance of all of its restoration and educational missions.  Donations may also be directed to the FOWIL endowment fund, which is designed to support the property and its missions for the future.

Gift Certificate

Gift the experience of a trip to Wood Island with a FOWIL gift certificate. Purchase online and we will send you a printed certificate, that you may fill out for your intended recipient. The recipient of the certificate may then use it for their donation on a FOWIL tour.
